NVIDIA RTX 3080 Custom crashes at 2.0GHz
A few days ago NVIDIA had the courage to say that the launch of the NVIDIA RTX 3080 had been the best ever. This after dozens of bots buy the entire stock of graphics and the anger of the users. To top the story now different forums are filled with complaints from users about crashes and other problems with the RTX 3080.
Legal users (the least) who have managed to get hold of an RTX 3080 indicate crashes and crashes of the game. It is quite reminiscent of the initial problems of the NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti, which had problems with the memories. Thus the OCUK, Computerbase, LinusTechTips or NVIDIA forums have been filled with reports of problems.

NVIDIA RTX 3080 generates problems such as crashes and the like
Here it seems that the problem would not be with the RTX 3080 Founders Edition but with the custom models. It appears that the models of the different assemblers present significant operational problems. RTX 3080 users report crashes, closing the game and returning to the Windows desktop. Other users have also reported black screen shots due to a driver overflow.
An answer has not yet been given by NVIDIA and the different assemblers. Note that users indicate that the problem appears when the graphics reach 2.0GHz. So it is possible that the problem really is that the silicones do not support overclocking well.
A little before the launch, there was already talk about performance problems under overclocking. It was indicated that over 30% of the silicones were not very good and stable when they were subjected to this practice. So if problems arise when the frequencies are increased, it is better to lower them and look for a frequency that does not cause problems.
It should be noted that the assemblers until a week or two before launch were not clear about the Boost frequencies. The RTX 3080s have struggled from the get-go and it looks like they will stay that way.

It was seen coming, if in the end AMD will take NVIDIA ahead as it has done in cpu with intel
