Phanteks Introduces 80Plus Gold Certified AMP Power Supplies with Modular Cables

New Phanteks AMP Power Supplies Announced, Fully Modular and 80Plus Gold Certified

Having a quality power supply is essential. This not only has the mission of feeding our system, it also has the mission of protecting it. We must always take this into account and look for sources that have protections for our hardware. It will always be cheaper to change a PSU than plate, processed and know what else. That is why Phanteks has introduced AMP power supplies.

These new power supplies have been designed for quality and performance. They are not manufactured by Phanteks, but have been manufactured by Seasonic, the best manufacturer of power supplies on the market. Among other features, the Phanteks AMP are 80Plus Gold certified and have a completely modular design.

Introduced Phanteks AMP Power Supply

The company launches three models, one of 550W, one of 650W and one of 750W. These powers should meet the needs of most users. Efficiency is an element to consider and this power supply is 80Plus Gold certified. It offers a completely modular design, to avoid having lying cables that only annoy. In addition, the cables offer a stranded design, which takes up less space inside the system.

Something very interesting is that the Phanteks AMP makes use of a single +12V rail. To cool the system, a 140mm fan has been provided, which allows a lot of air to be moved at low revolutions.

We must bear in mind that the Phanteks AMP have a 10-year warranty. The prices are quite interesting, costing the 550W model about 99 euros, the 650W model costs about 109 euros and the 650W model costs about 119 euros. They are not the cheapest on the market, but the modular ones are usually much more expensive than the 'normal' models
