Phison shows off its new SSD drivers at CES 2022

At CES 2022, Phison, the manufacturer of NAND flash controllers and storage solutions, will demonstrate the company's first PCIe Gen5 controller . These are designed for use in high-end desktop gaming PCs and are intended to be significantly more efficient than the high-performance Gen4.

The E26 SSD solution combines performance with low power consumption using Phison's unique architecture. The E26 is a customizable SSD platform designed for PCIe Gen5 that will serve both the enterprise and consumer markets. The company's first Gen5 controller will be available in multiple form factors and features, with the ability to scale beyond 10 GB/s while meeting the power requirements for all-day operation.

Phison's Extensive SSD Catalog for CES 2022

The PS5021 SSD is a new high-performance , DRAM-free PCIe Gen4 solution from Phison, designed for the mobile gaming market. Meanwhile, the Phison PS5013-E13T BGA for mobile gaming has been chosen by Xiaomi for its superior performance and efficiency in the Black Shark 4 series of gaming phones. Xiaomi attributes a 69% increase in read and write performance to the E13T BGA.

Game developers now have the opportunity to decrease game load times and scale future virtual worlds and metaverses with a new direct data delivery method. This new direct access pattern from the NVMe SSD to the GPU relies heavily on data passing through the system at high speeds in a consistent stream.

These are the main novelties of Phison. During CES 2022 in Las Vegas they will give demonstrations in person to those interested, and the specialized press that has not been able to attend will give them demonstrations via videoconference.
