GIGABYTE Z690, B660 and later motherboards will support EXPO memory

GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd, the specialist manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards and hardware solutions, today announced that all motherboards for the Z690, B660 and later platforms will be compatible with EXPO memories. These EXPO memories have been designed to be compatible with the performance increases of overclocking tools for memories in DDR5 format.

With this support, users will be able to enjoy an easy performance boost on GIGABYTE motherboards across all platforms with memory that supports AMD EXPO overclocking options. It will debut with Zen 4 CPUs, which will hit the market soon.

GIGABYTE embraces EXPO memory on its Z690 and B660 motherboards

The AMD brand has recently announced the new technology EXPO for DDR5 memory on the latest AM5 platform. It easily speeds up DDR5 memory with built-in overclocking profiles to boost performance, just like Intel's XMP technology.

Along with this new technology, all major memory module brands are going to launch corresponding EXPO memories. GIGABYTE hopes to lead the way in supporting AMD EXPO and Intel XMP DDR5 overclocking tools on AM5 motherboards. It will also innovate the design of the Intel platform, allowing users to accelerate their DDR5 memory on Z690, B660 and later motherboards. Simply, it will only be necessary to activate XMP and EXPO in the BIOS configuration in order to increase the performance of compatible RAM memories.

The latest XMP and EXPO compatible BIOS for GIGABYTE Z690, B660 and following motherboards will be released soon on GIGABYTE official website. We will simply have to download it when we have compatible motherboards, and install it in the BIOS using administrator privileges. With this, we will have access to the EXPO overclocking options, and with this we will access a world of performance, frequencies and speeds like we have never seen thanks to the novelties offered by the DDR5 format and the AMD EXPO tools.
