Date and price of desktop Intel Arc would be announced at the end of the month
According to the Wccftech portal, some of their contacts in Taiwan have informed them that Intel called some of its supply chain members a week ago and revealed some final details about its upcoming release of Intel Arc graphics cards. Thus, the initial lineup of Intel ARC GPUs and their possible dates and prices have been leaked. This information would also include what range they would position themselves against their competitors.
Wccftech contacts have shared details of all the SKUs that will be released in the near future. Intel will make a staggered release for the range of desktop GPUs. This first batch will consist of 3 GPUs, two of which will launch together and one will arrive weeks later.
This would be the launch of the desktop Intel Arc
The initial launch will consist of the A750 and A580, followed by the A380 a few weeks later. The flagship model, the A780, will not be included in the first batch . Interestingly, this time Intel hasn't revealed a specific sales embargo date to its partners, but rather announced a range of products. The exact embargo date for each SKU will be communicated separately after launch. The Intel Arc desktop launch would look something like this:
- A750: would arrive in late May and early June, with a suggested retail price of $350, comparable to the RTX 3060.
- A580: It would arrive in late May and early June, with a recommended retail price of $280, comparable to the RTX 3050.
- A380: It would arrive in July if there are no unforeseen events, with a recommended retail price of $150, comparable to the GTX 1650.
The information embargo would depend on the final release of each, starting on May 15 until June 30. This embargo would be aimed at manufacturers to advertise their custom models, and retailers to open reservations.
As we always say with unofficial information, even if it comes from reliable sources, it is information that is not supported by manufacturers. Changes in last-minute plans are likely, as happened with the silence related to NVIDIA's RTX 3090 Ti. Although Intel continues to insist that this quarter we will have these Intel Arc desktops, unforeseen events in the assembly line may force plans to change.
