Possible specs for top-of-the-range NVIDIA Ampere graphics cards
Lately the rumors about the launch of NVIDIA Ampere graphics cards do not stop. A few days ago the supposed photograph of the heatsink of the Ampere Founders Edition leaked. Now they have leaked what would be the possible specifications of the RTX Ampere, which match those indicated at the beginning of the year. Despite everything, as we always say, we are going to be careful about this.
According to rumors, these new Ampere graphics cards would be considerably more powerful than the current Turing. Especially the jump would be in Ray Tracing technology, with up to three times more performance. It's pretty early to say this for sure, although the possibility exists thanks to the jump from 12nm to 7nm.

The top of the range for the gaming market would be the RTX 3090. This graphics card would be based on the GA102-300-A1 silicon and would have 5248 CUDA Cores of Ampere @ 7nm architecture. For this graphic, 12GB GDDR6 @ 21GHz would be integrated with a 384-bit memory interface. On the frequencies and the TDP there is still no reliable data.
We now go to the RTX 3080, which would be the other top-of-the-range model. This graph is based on the silicon GA102-200-Kx-A1, which would offer 4352 CUDA Cores with unspecified frequencies. It will be accompanied by 10GB GDDR6 @ 19GHz and the TDP of this graph has not been revealed either.
Finally we have the Titan Ampere based on the silicon GA102-400-A1 that would have 5326 CUDA Cores. This graphics card would have 24GB GDDR6 @ 17GHz and both the frequencies and the TDP have not been detailed.
Note that according to rumors, NVIDIA Ampere would be presented during the month of September. We will have to wait a few months to see if this information is true or is just another rumor without the slightest sense that it only sells smoke.
