PowerColor clarifies that there are no problems with its RX 5600 XT
The AMD RX 5600 XT graphics cards are giving a lot to talk about due to their BIOS modification shortly before launch. Information has appeared that some graphics cards are having problems due to the modification. Some assemblers would have trimmed their heatsinks by removing heatpipes. PowerColor wanted to dispel doubts about its graphics cards, indicating that the installed heatsink is more than enough for them.
Shortly before the launch of the RX 5600 XT, NVIDIA decided to lower the price of the RTX 2060 Founders Edition graphics card. To compensate for this price drop, AMD decided to increase the operating frequencies of both the GPU and the memory. This move has caused some problems for certain manufacturers.

AMD at CES 2020 presented the RX 5600 XT and specific that it would work at a base frequency of 1375MHz and would arrive in Boost mode at 1560MHz. They also indicated that the 6GB GDDR6 would work at 12Gbps and the graphics would have a TDP of 150W. But in the end it has arrived with a base frequency of 1615MHz and in Boost mode it reaches 1750MHz. The memories go to work at 14Gbps and the TDP has become 180W.
PowerColor and Sapphire have uploaded the memory to 14Gbps, while MSI has left the memory to 12Gbps. This is caused that in the market we have quite different graphs within the same model. All because some builders would have adjusted the heatsinks down.
MSI says that some GDDR6 chips can run at faster speeds than others. Our 5600 XT graphics cards feature 6Gbps GDDR14 rated memory modules, so they perform to spec
Whether or not the graphics card is stable depends on the heatsink and silicon, as always. To avoid problems, PowerColor has published a frequency table of its graphs. This indicates the profile of the same and the frequencies according to the BIOS.
