The RTX 4070 would be sold at a price of 600 US dollars

As reported by the VideoCardz protal, NVIDIA would have already set the price of the commercial version of the RTX 4070 non-Ti at 599 US dollars. This information was confirmed during a press conference, since it is common for one of them to happen at each launch.

Analysts expect their test units of the RTX 4070 to arrive early next week. Videocardz claims that they have been able to confirm this price with three sources of their own, but even they themselves claim that NVIDIA can make last-minute changes when it comes to pricing, and that it is common for them.

RTX 4070 aspires to have an affordable price, compared to other older models of the 4000 series

At a price of US$599, the RTX 4070 would be much cheaper than the RTX 4070 Ti. Its starting price was $899, and it was scheduled to be sold as the RTX 4080 12GB. But after the reaction from the community that it was too confusing to make a model with noticeable performance differences, NVIDIA made the decision to re-release the card under another name. Said RTX 4080 12GB was released as the RTX 4070 Ti for a price of US$799 a few weeks later.

The RTX 4070 is expected to be priced the same as the RTX 3070 Ti at launch. Regarding its specifications, the card will have the same number of cores as the RTX 3070 (approximately 5888 CUDA cores), and the memory will be upgraded to GDDR6X technology , along with 4GB more VRAM. Despite having a narrower 192-bit memory bus, it still boasts higher maximum bandwidth thanks to its 21Gbps modules. Currently, the RTX 4070 is slated for release on April 13th, and NVIDIA is expected to confirm this information, including both the launch date and pricing, within days.

Price will be a key factor, along with availability in stores and repair shops. With the anticipated move away from the PS4 and Xbox One, it's expected that video games will see a rise in minimum system requirements, and these new models will allow many users to upgrade their gaming rigs to continue playing cutting-edge games.
