Intel Coffee Lake Refresh and Skylake-X Refresh officially introduced

Intel Coffee Lake Refresh processors and Skylake-X Refresh processors have been introduced in addition to the surprise guest Xeon W-3175X.

The Intel Coffee Lake Refresh processors as well as the Intel Skylake-X Refresh processors have been officially introduced. Initially this event was presented for the Intel Core i9 9900K, Core i7 9700K and Core i5 9600K processors. These processors are characterized by being based on 14nm ++ lithography. The highlight is the case of the Intel Core i9 9900K processor which is a semi-transparent dodecahedron and which is a curious choice to present the company's top-of-the-range processor with eight cores.

Not only have processors been presented that we can say are intended for gaming, the new Intel Xeon W-3175X has also been seen, which has 28 cores and 56 processing threads and can reach up to 4.3GHz. It will arrive in December at an undetermined price.

We also have Intel Core X-series processors that will have up to 18 cores and 36 threads of execution with up to 68 PCIe lanes and that will support DDR4 Quad Channel memory. This processor will be aimed at content creators because it has been designed for large workloads that require a large number of tasks in parallel. It will arrive during the month of November and it has no price yet.

The Core i9 9900K will be the processor destined for gaming and that will be soldered supporting more than 5.0GHz without major problems. This processor will have eight cores and sixteen processing threads and can reach up to 16MB of cache. On performance this will offer a performance improvement of 10% in the Hitman 2, according to Intel.

It will also arrive together with the Z390 chipset that will be another of the important components of this new launch. The LGA 1151 socket will be used and this chipset among others offers support for USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports and 802.11ac WiFi connectivity with support for transfer speeds that allow reaching gigabit.
