We tested NVIDIA RTX 2080 and 2060 graphics cards with Ray Tracing technology

NVidia has shown the technology of its 2000 family graphics cards, which promise to bring more power in their rendering capabilities, in addition to finally integrating Ray Tracing technology in real time, which promises us a better capacity when it comes to achieving a greater immersion in the world of video games.

Nvidia has invited us to test the new family of graphics cards, this time with Ray Tracing technology in time. They have bypassed the Volta family to go directly to Turing, which has left a setback when it comes to offering support and optimization in many video games, which have not been able to prepare for new graphics card architectures. It is true that full support for the RTX family has not been achieved, but regardless of our opinion of the commercial movements of the company, at the product level we are seeing a considerable improvement when it comes to getting better graphics.

We were able to test devices with this technology, which for now is only available in games like Battlefield V, which we were able to test. The result, as we see in the video embedded in this article, is ua noticeable difference from previous shading technology.

We tested RTX cards

We have been able to verify that the improvements are also in other concepts, for example a better optimization achieving a stable framerate in games at 1440p, which is appreciated, especially since it has been achieved in a laptop less than two centimeters thick. The tests have been somewhat brief and with a limited time, it is true, but right now RTX cards can be very interesting components for those who are not afraid to invest a lot of money in the most powerful graphics so far.

Even so, from NVidia they consider that las RTX can get the interest of demanding consumers, as we showed in the previous interview. From here we thank Nvidia for trusting us for allowing us this opportunity.
