WNAP launches new QSW-M2106 switches that can be managed via web
The QNAP QSW-M2106-4C switch features four 10GbE SFP+/RJ45 combo ports and six 2,5GbE RJ45 ports. It supports both 10GbE and NBASE-T technologies, enabling five network transfer speeds (10Gbps, 5Gbps, 2,5Gbps, 1Gbps, and 100Mbps). This allows administrators to deliver network speeds using existing Cat 5e cables for the 2,5GbE RJ45 ports and Cat 6a (or higher) cables for the 10GbE RJ45 ports. The QSW-M2106-4S, on the other hand, includes four 10GbE SFP+ ports and six 2,5GbE RJ45 ports. Both models also offer Layer 2 management features via a user-friendly web GUI to ensure effective bandwidth control and enhanced network security.
The QSW-M2106 series includes one of the few web-managed switches that support Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP). They also comply with IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and IEEE802.3x Flow Control standards in full-duplex mode. Small and medium-scale networks can be easily and efficiently deployed that support expansion, redundancy, and loop prevention, while avoiding packet loss and reducing power consumption for slow or idle connections. Its intelligent cooling system makes the QSW-M2106 series ensure high-speed network performance while minimizing background noise.
Compared with the previous QSW-M2108 series, the QNAP QSW-M2106 series of switches features up to four 10GbE SFP+ ports or SFP+/RJ45 combo ports. The QSW-M2106 series can not only connect to the 10GbE core network, but also to other 10GbE workstations and network devices to optimize bandwidth utilization and connection quality.
