GeilL Unveils Active Fan Cooled DDR5 Memory
With the switch to the DDR5 memory format, the new standard integrates the PMIC and VRM into the memory module. This means it's quite efficient in terms of power management and speed, but it can lead to increased temperatures. Bearing this in mind, memory manufacturers are finding new ways to keep DDR5 memory cool while maintaining low power consumption, using aluminum plates and other types of passive cooling. Meanwhile, GeiL has introduced the first DDR5 modules with active fan cooling to ensure they are constantly at an optimal temperature, even if this means slightly increased power consumption.
Both memory kits are available in dark gray and white. The new Evo V DDR5 memory range features the world's first modules to use two small RGB fans to cool the aluminum heat spreader.

The two fans of these DDR5 memories are located at the top right and left. The Effect of these fans increases thermal dissipation by 45%, according to GeiL data. Its heatsink is still compact enough despite having two fans, so the modules should not interfere with the CPU cooler compared to previous DDR5 modules.

With these DDR5 memory modules, users will benefit from the XMP 3.0 profile, which facilitates overclocking. They also feature a locked/unlocked PMIC to provide threshold protection, synchronized voltage control, intelligent voltage control, and power management for more comprehensive voltage control under any conditions. Furthermore, they have on-chip ECC to improve data integrity and increase memory performance and stability.
GeiL has confirmed that there will be several 32GB and 64GB dual channel memory kits with two modules. Their speeds will range from 4800 MHz to 6600 MHz, with voltages between 1,1 V and 1,35 V, and CL timings between 34 and 40. GeiL's new fan-cooled DDR5 memory should be available in stores soon. from the month of July.
