Oveclockers smash records with an RTX 3080 @ 2.310MHz

The NVIDIA RTX 3080s have finally hit the market (more or less) and have been seen to be some serious beasts. These new graphics cards are a matter of time before they destroy all the existing benchmarks. We have even started to see how these graphics cards have started to smash all records. From Brazil we get several records shattered by the new RTX 3080 graphics.

The Brazilian team of overclockers TecLab has gotten their hands on an RTX 3080 and has given it quite a bit. The first thing they have done is raise the frequency to 2.310MHz, which is already quite an important figure. Then they passed the 3DMark Time Spy Extreme, shattering records by easily exceeding 10.000 points.

Brazilian overclockers smash records with RTX 3080

We must bear in mind that the best GA102 silicones are reserved for Custom models. We have seen how an EVGA model through the company's software can reach 2.100MHz. Possibly when the high-end Custom models come out, we will see more impressive results.

We have to emphasize that this team of overclockers has put their hand to the frequency of the GPU and not to the GDDR6X memories. It seems that it has been a previous contact with this graph to see what it allows us to do. The next step may be to modify the GPU frequencies and the results will skyrocket.

Ronaldo Buassali, member of TecLab is an overclocker who works for GALAX in Latin America. It is one of the most important overclockers in the current scene and in its day it already turned an RTX 2080 Ti into an RTX 2080 Ti SUPER by modifying the GDDR6 memories. With the GALAX RTX 3080 SG it has reached 2.310MHz and has obtained 10.595 points in the 3DMark Time Spy Extreme. To give us an idea, it is 7% more than the RTX 2080 Ti @ 2.745MHz.
