[RUMOR 05] AMD Navi would arrive on July 7 and would perform like the RTX 2080
Rumors appear that the AMD Navi would be presented at E3 2019, hit the market on July 7 and would perform as an RTX 2080.
Computex 2019 is approaching, where the AMD Ryzen 3000 Series processors and the EPYC ROME must be presented. These processors will be based on 7nm, like the AMD Navi, of which rumors are jumping. New rumor indicates that during E3 2019, which takes place between June 11 and 13, they could be presented. According to rumor, it would be launched on July 7, coinciding with 7nm. But it is also that new rumors are appearing regarding the performance of these new graphics cards.
Rumors indicate that the AMD Navi would be performing like an NVIDIA RTX 2080
TweakTown has stated that this graphics card would be faster than the RTX 2070, being "very close to a GeForce RTX 2080." It's worth noting that this same outlet previously reported that the Vega 64 would perform like the GTX 1080 Ti or offer 80-100 MH/s on Ethereum. However, this also happened with the Radeon RX 480, which was said to perform like the GTX 980 Ti for half the price. Ultimately, the RX 480 was needed to match or surpass the GTX 1080 in certain tests.
We have on the other hand the Wccftech that says that the Radeon RX 3080 would have a TDP of 150W performing as an RTX 270 / GTX 1080 for 249 dollars. A real stupidity without the least of the senses. These rumors are always striking, but in the case of AMD and with the precedents we have, they are absurd.
We prefer to be cautious, they already sold us a lot the bike with the RX Vega 64 and the Radeon VII is a nonsense. Navi will be a transition chart between GCN and the next graphics card design, it may be fine, but expecting much of the same is not logical.
