[RUMOR 04] AMD Navi will perform like an NVIDIA RTX 2070 and cost the same as the RX 590

New rumors regarding the AMD Navi indicate that its performance would be similar to that of the NVIDIA RTX 2070 and would cost the same as the RX 590

The graphics card market is currently dominated by NVIDIA and its new Turing architecture graphics. They currently have no competition in the market. AMD's attempt with the Radeon VII has been nothing more than a complete failure due to the low amount of stock, its high temperatures and its excessive consumption. When the company launched it, it was already thinking about Navi, the architecture of the future and what concerns us. Nothing is known about this new architecture, but a lot of hype is being generated around it.

Will AMD Navi compete with NVIDIA's high-end?

To date there is no reliable data, all are rumors of its theoretical performance and even manufacturing. Yes, that it was based on TSMC's 7nm is confirmed, but we don't know if it was based on GCN or the design that replaced it. Rumors indicate that it would be a kind of hybrid that should offer a significant performance improvement and reduce consumption.

RedGamingTech in a video gives some interesting details about this new graphic. We will be, for the moment, quite prudent, since Vega 10 was going to be a revolution and it fell by the wayside. As discussed in the video, Navi 10 would arrive with a performance similar to the RTX 2070, something that seems very interesting.

As they say, the CPI of this Navi architecture would be 10-15%. There is also talk that it would be based on GCN 6.0, a kind of hybrid with the next graphics design system. It has also been rumored that the price of a Navi would be around 300 euros at most. Price quite similar to the RX 590, a rehash of a rehash.

The rumors of this graph indicated that it could have 4096 Stream Processors and that it would use PCIe 4.0. AMD would put aside the HBM2 to implement GDDR6 memory, much cheaper. This will allow you to adjust the price of the graphics and make them much more competitive.
