AMD's new graphics cards could drop in price even before they hit the market

Even before they hit the market, AMD could lower the price of the new AMD RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 graphics cards due to the new NVIDIA RTX Super.

During E3 2019, AMD unveiled its new RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 graphics cards . These new cards are based on Navi, a hybrid of GCN and RDNA, the company's latest architecture. Both cards are manufactured using a 7nm process, which should, in theory, offer a significant performance boost and improved energy efficiency.

In the presentation, AMD highlighted that the RX 5700 XT would cost $ 449 and the RX 5700 would cost $ 379. They also revealed the RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary that will arrive with a price of 499 dollars. Well, these are not the final prices, since possibly these charts will be cheaper.

As soon as it comes out, AMD will lower its new Navi graphics

Although AMD announced them as RDNA graphics, they will eventually be a hybrid between GCN and RDNA. The reason is that completely new drivers would have to be made and games optimized. Something impossible, since most games are optimized for RDNA and it would not take time. The company is already working to get existing and future games optimized for RDNA. Basically we can say that these graphs are transition models.

They will be launched on the market on July 7 at the prices announced by AMD. But, those prices will not last long, since a price reduction is expected. According to information from Videocardz, on July 6, the price of these graphics could be reduced, so they would go on the market cheaper.

This means indicates that the RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary would cost about $ 449 (-50 dollars). On the other hand, we have the RX 5700 XT that will cost 399 dollars (-50 dollars). And finally the RX 5700 will go on to cost 349 dollars (-30 dollars).

Everything indicates that this price reduction would have a lot to do with the new NVIDIA RTX Super. They offer a much higher performance than initially expected. The price reduction will serve to compete with them in quality / price.
