Ryzen 3000: The head of AMD, Lisa Su, in an interview has spoken about the frequency problems of her processors

During an interview Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, spoke about the frequency problems of the new AMD Ryzen 3000 processors.

The last few weeks there has been a lot of talk about the frequency of AMD's Ryzen 3000 processors. The AGESA 1.0.0.4 microcode is expected to correct this problem. Regarding all this, Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, has spoken at a conference about this problem. This is important because some users still have problems regarding frequencies.

For many weeks there has been talk about the frequency problems of the Ryzen 3000. To avoid temperature problems the BIOS seem to be adjusted the frequencies so as not to suffer over temperatures. The problem is that the Ryzen 3000 are very tight in frequency. The frequencies would be between 25MHz and 100MHz below that announced by the company.

To partially solve the problem, AMD hurriedly took out the AGESA 1.0.0.3 ABBA that corrected the problem. Some users seem to still not reach the marked frequencies. The problem will be definitively corrected, apparently, with the AGESA 1.0.0.4 microcode.

Su highlights that the problem by updating the microcode has allowed the "vast majority" of users to solve the problem. In addition, the CEO of AMD has said that the core has been "extensively discussed in recent weeks." He also highlighted that the adjustment with the new microcode has been more of an "optimization" than a "massive update"

He also commented that the company is working with motherboard manufacturers "to improve the maximum optimization of the Boost frequencies." Su has also said that: "we will continue to improve the platform"

To our knowledge we will have up to the AGESA 1.0.0.7 microcode, as it has been leaked. What we do not know is all the improvements that will be implemented AGESA 1.0.0.4 Patch B.
