First leaked Ryzen 5 3600 benchmarks expose Intel Core i7-8700K and Core i5-9600K processors

Several benchmarks of the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 can be seen, which clearly surpass the Intel Core i7-8700K and the Core i5-9600K.

This week Lisa Su, during the opening Keynote of Computex 2019 presented the new Ryzen 3000. The company has initially presented three processors, although five processors are based on Zen2 on its website. Among the processors on the website is the Ryzen 5 3600, of which a benchmark has been leaked. During the presentation of these processors, we saw some benchmarks of these processors, which provide a great improvement. Now we know that this processor is even more powerful than the Core i7-8700K.

Two benchmarks of the new Ryzen 4 5 have appeared in Geekbench 3600. The first one is based on the new X570 chipset, the second one is based on the X470. Apparently in both cases the same amount of DDR4 RAM is used at the same frequency. On the ASUS TUF Gaming X570 Plus motherboard it gets a single-core score of 5390 points and on multicore it gets 26371 points.

We see the interesting thing in the case of the ASUS PRIME X470 Pro. In this case, the single-core processor has given 5358 points, but in multicore it has given 27485 points. Without a doubt it is something quite curious, since we see that in mononucleus it gives less, but in multicore it gives more. Something quite rare, since with the new chipset it should offer more performance than with the old chipset.

If we compare it with the Core i7-8700K With 6 cores and 12 threads, we see that it loses in single core and wins in multicore. We see that this Intel processor in a Z370 gets 5509 single-core cores and reaches 24819 multi-core points. The Core i5-9600K on the other hand, obtain 6311 points in single core and 25396 points in multicore. The difference in this case is minor, but you still get an advantage.

Even so in all cases, the Ryzen 5 3600 processor is superior to the Intel processors, clearly. This, together with the lower price of AMD processors, will make them sell like hotcakes, without a doubt. Although to be sure we will have to wait until July 7, which will be when they reach the market.
