AMD's Ryzen 7 4800U wrecks Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor
The one who has taken all the eyes and the prominence at CES 2020 has been AMD, since it was the one that presented the most innovative things. The company went all out to the event, presenting two notebook processors, a Workstation processor and a new graphics. Among these was the Ryzen 7 4800U intended for low-power, high-power laptops.
One of the markets that AMD wants to attack the most this year is that of laptops, where its presence is low. Intel has very well tied this market, in which breaking into is really difficult. AMD's proposal is to kick the door and enter with everything, without taking prisoners and it could achieve it.

First benchmark of the AMD Ryzen 7 4800U
During the presentation at CES 2020, Lisa Su said that the Ryzen 7 4800U had created the first 8-core ultrabook. And it is that this AMD processor has 8 cores and 16 threads working at a base frequency of 1.8GHz and reaching 4.2GHz in Boost mode. This processor is accompanied by a Radeon Vega 8 with 512 Stream Processors.
The Ryzen 7 4800U processor scores a total of 3 points in 11DMark 5307, while the Intel Core i7-1065G7 only offers 4831 points. We see that the difference is approximately 10% in favor of AMD. While the CPU performance is more revealing, as it is 30% more powerful according to UserBenchmark.
It is very interesting to see the comparison between the Ryzen 7 4800U and the Core i7-10750H. The Intel processor has 6 cores and 12 threads working at a base frequency of 1.8GHz and reaching 4.9GHz in Boost mode. We see how the AMD processor is 15% slower with less frequency. But it is also that the Intel processor has a TDP of 45W, while the AMD has a TDP of 15W.
To finish, the Ryzen 7 4800U from AMD is 65% more powerful than the Ryzen 7 3700U in terms of CPU. On the graphics side, it is 25% more powerful because it uses 3rd Generation Vega graphics.
