The Samsung 990 Pro SSD would be having useful life problems

There are some reported complaints from owners of the 2TB version of Samsung's flagship SSD, the 990 Pro. Users have claimed that the SSD's lifespan dropped below 95 percent after just a few days of use . Apparently, Samsung's support team found no issues after contacting one owner.
A Samsung flagship SSD would be rapidly losing its useful life
Apparently, the SSD 990 Pro, with a capacity of 2 terabytes, is experiencing problems with its useful life, even with little use, according to users. Needless to say, while an SSd is expected to reduce its lifespan, it's not expected to drop that much, that fast, even in a pro-grade flagship.
An author from the website Neowin brought the issue to light, having previously reported it on Reddit earlier this year. According to their own statement, they upgraded from a 970 Evo Plus to a 2TB 990 Pro. The former reportedly showed a 99% health status after more than a year. The 990 Pro, on the other hand, " had a 99% health status after just a few days ," as determined by the Samsung Magician SSD tool and CrystalDiskInfo. The value dropped to 98% after reading a few tenths of a gigabyte . It finally fell to 94% after a few days. Similar reports from other 2TB 990 Pro owners regarding the declining health status can be found on other forums and in replies to the Neowin author's Reddit thread.
The author of Neowin contacted Samsung support and followed the RMA process. Even so, Samsung informed him that " a decrease in lifespan of a few percent is normal " and sent the same SSD back to the sender formatted and reset to factory settings, as they could not find any fault.
