Officially the new GDDR6 memories in the NVIDIA Quadro RTX are manufactured by Samsung and offer unprecedented features and performance.
New NVIDIA Quadro RTX targeting the professional segment targeting unprecedented performance have been announced. These graphics cards make use of GDDR6 memories instead of HBM2 due to the good performance of these memories and that they are much cheaper. The memories in this case have been manufactured by Samsung and its production began during the first quarter of 2018 and officially these Quadro RTX graphics are the first to use them.
Samsung manufactures the GDDR6 memory for the NVIDIA Quadro RTX.
These new 16 Gigabit memories have the property of working at high speeds of up to 14 Gigabits per second with a total bandwidth of 672GB / s. GDDR6 memories offer up to 75% higher transfer speed in a single DIE and at the same time the energy improvement increases by 35% compared to GDDR5.
The improvement in performance and the reduction in consumption has been possible thanks to going from 20nm in the GDDR5 to 10nm in the current GDDR6 and can operate at a lower voltage, working at 1.35V instead of the 1.55V of the memories GDDR5.

It should be noted that the most powerful model presented, the Quadro RTX 8000 integrates 48GB of GDDR6 memory and can reach up to 96GB through the NVLink technology that is integrated and that offers a much higher bandwidth than the obsolete SLI.
