The 1TB SanDisk Extreme UHS-I card had been in the works for a while and was available to a few individuals and businesses. It will be released in April at a price of 450 dollars. Many mobile devices and even the NIntendo Switch will be able to take advantage of this card.

On the occasion of the Mobile World Congress that is being held in Barcelona, Sandisk has announced that it will put its 1TB MicroSD card on sale. They are 1024GB of capacity that all kinds of consumers will appreciate. Although the initial price can be a deterrent for many.

What to do with the Terabyte that Sandisk offers?

The first thing many will be asking is what kind of person would need so much storage on a MicroSD. Does Sandisk think so many people need 1TB of storage on a MicroSD? It is easy to give an answer to this and it is that we constantly need storage for our personal, professional and entertainment files.

A professional camera has trouble holding thousands of uncompressed photos from various sessions. A camcorder will be able to record hours of high-quality footage. On a mobile or tablet you can store a hundred high quality movies. A Nintendo Switch can increase its storage to accommodate dozens of downloadable games along with thousands of captures and videos recorded with the internal capture device that the console has.

Sandisk has confirmed that the launch date of this 1Tb microSD together with a 512GB one will take place in April of this year. It will be available in a few stores and will cost $ 450 without tax. For those who believe that the price is high, it should be said that a terabyte allows you to hardly have to worry about space on the devices that use it. And it is common for MicroSD prices to drop over time, so waiting for a price drop may be an option.
