Sapphire's Toxic range of cards has added the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Air Cooled, which is designed to be able to move games in 4K quality. It features a 2425MHz boost clock and 2235MHz gaming clock, as well as 16GB of GDDR6 memory.
As with the other AMD RDNA 2 cards, actual clock speeds during games may slightly exceed the boost clock. The RX 6900 XT is the fastest consumer card from AMD at the moment.
A more aggressive version of the RX 6900
The Toxic Radeon RX 6900 XT Air Cooled GPU features a BIOS switch with three settings: performance, mute, and software toggle mode. The performance option is the default setting and allows us to enjoy 4K games with maximum performance. The software change mode allows you to create our own configuration within the Sapphire Tri-X software. Finally, the silent mode reduces the fan speed, and is intended for users who do not want the best graphics.
The default game clock of 2235 MHz and the boost clock of 2425 MHz are slightly higher than other factory overclocked cards, despite using GDDR6 16 Gbps memory. It also features 80 CUs and lightning accelerators, with 128MB of infinite cache and 5120 stream processors.
The manufacturer recommends a power supply of at least 850W, given the card's TDP of at least 400W. Power is supplied to the card via two eight-pin and one six-pin power connectors. Measuring 320 x 134,8 x 58,4 mm, a large GPU mounting bracket is recommended. It features three hybrid aRGB fans and a V-shaped fin stack within the heatsink to help reduce turbulence and noise. The Sapphire Toxic AMD Radeon RX 6900 currently has no price or release date, but it is expected to be priced at the high end of the high-end market.
