Rumor has it about an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Ti

Rumors appear about the possibility of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Ti that would be based on TU104 silicon, not TU106 silicon

So far we officially have the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, TX 2080 and RTX 2070, in addition to being confirmed an RTX 2060 that would arrive during the first quarter of 2019. The RTX 2070 makes use of TU106 silicon that belongs to the Turing mid-range , which has caused a rumor to appear that indicates that an RTX 2070 Ti based on TU104 silicon could arrive, which is superior to the current RTX 2070, something that has not been confirmed at the moment and who knows if it will be a reality.

Rumors regarding a possible NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Ti based on TU104 silicon

The first reviews that have appeared on the RTX 2070 show that the performance without Ray Tracing and DLSS is about 10% above the GTX 1080 at a very similar price. If we compare it with the GTX 1070, the difference in performance is about 30%, but it is that for an unknown reason these graphics are not performing at full load.

It is curious how between the RTX 2080 Ti and the RTX 2080 there is a big jump and between the RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 the same thing happens and that is why NVIDIA would be developing an RTX 2070 Ti to fill this space and offer an intermediate solution and who you know if with NVLink, since the current RTX 2070 does not incorporate it. The difference between TU106 and TU104 silicon will be in the number of TMU units, with the TU1060 silicon counting with 36 TMUs while the TU104 would have a total of 48 TMUs.

Right now it is a simple rumor, so we will wait for more events, but normally when this type of rumor appears it is that the development of that graphics card is already underway or finished.
