Valve's Steam Link is withdrawn from the market due to poor sales
Due to poor sales Valve has stopped manufacturing Steam Link of which there are only a few units in the United States and in Europe it is sold out.
One of the most important companies in the video game market is Valve, which has the largest gaming platform in the world, such as Steam. The company has made the leap to the manufacture of different peripherals among which is the Steam Link and the Steam Controller itself. The sales of these two peripherals have not been good and for the moment the production of the Steam Link stops, which has been discontinued in Europe and of which there are still some units in the United States, but once sold, no more stock will be added .
Valve discontinues the Steam Link due to lower-than-expected sales.
Steam Link was a streaming system for computer games in a FullHD @ 60FPS resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) on any television or other device that we could have at home and that was connected via Ethernet or WiFi. It has compatibility with any Windows computer, any Mac and Android devices and for a time it was compatible with iOS devices, but Apple withdrew the application from the Store generating a great dust about it.
Apple that day made an enemy of a part of the gaming community by a totally irrational policy. Valve offered the application free of charge and did not generate any type of income, it only added value to this device. By not winning, Apple went off on a tangent and said that it violated multiple rules of use of iOS without giving further explanations.
Despite the fact that this platform is no longer sold in Europe because it is exhausted and only the last units remain in the United States, the company has said that they will not leave buyers stranded and will continue to update the software.
