Knowing what the failure rate of a computer product is is quite an interesting and revealing piece of information. Retailer Mindfactory has revealed what the RMA rate is for AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards. The retailer's data is broken down by model, assembler, and GPU manufacturer, although we're going to look at the data roughly.
The data indicates that the graphics with the highest problem rate are those of NVIDIA, with exceptions. The one with the highest RMA rate is AMD, but it also varies by graphics card model. Notably, NVIDIA would have sold nearly twice as many graphics cards with a much lower total RAM rate.

NVIDIA and AMD graphics card RMA rates revealed
The first data is revealing and is that AMD would have sold 44.100 graphics cards in Germany while NVIDIA would have sold 76.280. Of the total of NVIDIA graphics, of 1.607 the RMA would have been processed, which is 2.1%. On the other hand, the RMA of 1.452 AMD graphics would have been processed, which is 3.3%. If both had sold the same, AMD's RMA would be 50% higher than NVIDIA's.
Regarding the models with less RMA, the one that would give AMD the least problems is the RX 5500 XT, not reaching 1% of RMA. More or less the same thing happens with the RTX 2070 Super, which barely reach 1% RMA. Whereas the RX 5700 XT would have a 3.6% failure rate and the RX 2080 Ti would have a 5.3% failure rate.
LINK TO THE COMPLETE LIST
We can still get more data about it. The but AMD graphics assembler would be PowerColor, with a high failure rate on all models. The two best assemblers would be XFX and ASRock, with a fairly low failure rate.
If we look at NVIDIA, the best assemblers would be Gainward and Gigabyte, with lower failure rates. Palit and interestingly MSI would be the worst assemblers of graphics cards. The RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X Trio and the Lightning Z would be the ones that present the most problems, possibly due to the fans, since the simple models with two fans hardly give problems. Palit's RTX 2080 Ti Dual and Gaming Pro have an RMA rate of 11%. While Gigabyte barely has a 2% failure rate.
Interestingly, there is not a single ASUS graphic on this list.
