Threadripper: New AMD processors for workstations will be announced on November 5
Filtered announcement, specification, review and sale dates of the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3000 processors.
Take a wild leak regarding AMD's Ryzen Threadripper 3000 processors. The company a few weeks ago delayed these processors to November due to TSMC saturation. We don't have much information about these processors, but Videocardz has published the announcement and launch dates. Specifically, it talks about the Threadripper 3990x, 3970X and 3960X, as well as the TRX40 motherboards.
These processors according to this medium will be officially announced on November 5. The specs for all of these will be released that day, except for the Threadripper 3990X, whose specs will be revealed in January 2020. So the ultimate monster for Workstation is delayed until next year.
Threadripper 3000 presentation and sale dates published
The Threadripper 3960X and Threadripper 3970X processors will be announced on November 5th, and their specifications will be revealed that day. A review will be available on November 19th, the same day they go on sale.
The same schedule follows the TRX40 chipset, which will be presented on November 5 and the specifications will be given. Motherboards with this chipset will be available on November 19. The TRX80 and WRX80 are not mentioned at any time, for reasons we do not know.
The Threadripper 5X will be announced on November 3990, but it will not be until January 2020 when the specifications are given. The review and release of this processor will be in January 2020. We know nothing more about the processor.
Curiously, the Threadripper 3980X does not appear on the list. AMD may only release a few of these processors in this family because of TSMC issues. They will surely want to keep this segment alive and in the next family offer more solutions.
