TSMC expects record revenue from NVIDIA Turing GPU production
Record turnover is expected from TSMC, among others and above all, thanks to the production of NVIDIA Turing GPUs.
NVIDIA's new gaming graphics cards have yet to be seen in the market, among other things, because before they arrive the company must clean the shelves before introducing the new graphics. These new NVIDIA GTX 11 Series will be based on Turing GPUs, a new 12nm architecture, whose production has been carried out by TSMC, something that has allowed the manufacturer of silicon chips, to obtain record revenues.
TSMC is packed thanks to the production of NVIDIA Turing GPUs.
TSMC's revenues are expected to rise gradually during the third quarter before reaching an all-time high for the fourth quarter, according to industry sources. Turing GPUs are an important part, but they are also succeeding thanks to the production of chips for the smartphone market.
The estimate indicates an increase in revenue for the fourth quarter, in which in theory, the new gaming graphics based on the Turing architecture should have already been launched. A significant increase in the sale of graphics cards is especially expected for Black Friday and the Christmas period, times when a lot of hardware is bought, normally.
During the last months we have seen how the situation of graphics cards has stabilized due to the loss of value of cryptocurrencies in general, which has made those who know less about this practice leave and stop buying graphics, even if they continue setting up big farms. If the new GPUs perform well, come at a good price, and the market's uptrend continues, Turing GPUs may fly off the shelves.
