Motherboard shipments dropped by more than ten million in 2022
Analyst firm DigiTimes recently reported that shipments of motherboards from major manufacturers fell by ten million units year-over-year. Motherboards fell in sales last year

ASRock's shipments experienced the most significant decline among major manufacturers, falling from an estimated six million units to 2,7 million units in 2022. MSI was the second worst performer, registering a drop from 9,5 million units to 5,5 million by the end of last year. ASUS and Gigabyte experienced smaller declines.
Experts and manufacturers anticipate an increase in unit sales in the middle of this year due to the new PC components announced in recent months, together with the slight decrease in the prices of specific components, such as graphics cards and processors. that is, they anticipate that it has been a bump, due to the cost and attractiveness of the components that take advantage of the capabilities of the new motherboard platforms.
