EVGA and Zotac announce price hike for their graphics cards

Zotac and EVGA follow in ASUS 'footsteps and will raise the price of their graphics cards due to US tariffs

2020 has been a very difficult year due to the COVID pandemic. A few days ago, ASUS announced a price increase for some of its motherboards and graphics cards . Zotac and EVGA are also raising prices, but in their case, they will be increasing the price of their graphics cards.

According to ASUS, the rise in prices is due to the higher cost of logistics and operations and the shortage of components. NVIDIA already at the end of 2020 indicated that it had problems getting certain components. In the end, it seems that all manufacturers will end up applying price increases for their components.

Zotac and EVGA raise the prices of their graphics

The rise in prices will be especially noticeable in the United States due to tariffs. The components are mostly imported from China and currently the United States imposes tariffs of up to 25%. Already in 2019 it was warned that this could end up happening, but now it is increasing due to the pandemic.

EVGA has raised the price of some of its graphics. The RTX 3070 XC3 Black Gaming goes from $ 529.99 to $ 599.99, increasing its price by more than 13%. The RTX 3070 FTW3 Ultra Gaming goes from $ 609.99 to $ 679.99, up more than 11%.

The one who raises the prices of its graphics cards the most is Zotac. The Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity graphics card goes from $ 1.549,99 to $ 1.899,99, which is an increase of more than 22%. The RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC White Edition went from $ 579,99 to $ 699,99, an increase of more than 20%. Finally we have the RTX 3060 Ti Twin Edge that goes from $ 439,99 to $ 529,99 with an increase of more than 20%.

We are sorry to tell you that it is time to forget to buy a graphics card. Between the shortage and the tariffs, it is getting very expensive to update our setup.
