Hideo Kojima receives Guinness World Records for being popular on social media

Hideo Kojima is followed by many people on Instagram and Twitter. Two records for a video game designer.

To say that Hideo Kojima is very media is an understatement. So soon, we can say that he is one of the very few developers who has managed to put a hallmark and seal of quality in his work. Metal Gear Solid made him famous and thanks to that he was able to create Zone of the Enders and Boktai, plus they instantly raffled him off when he left Konami.

Hideo Kojima is followed a lot on social media

With Kojima being such a popular and quirky person, it's no wonder he has a huge following on social media. Many have followed Hideo Kojima to see if he says new things about Metal Gear Solid or future projects but at most he is seen with photos of food, comments on the latest movies he has seen and with his friends. They are the social networks of a normal person, but they are followed by millions of people because he is a very notable creative in the world of video games.

That is what has led the Guinness World Records organization to award him two of its records. The first for having the Instagram account with the most followers for a videogame director, with 888 followers (surpassing 539 followers at the time of writing these lines) and the same for his Twitter account with 943 followers (today 000 followers).

Of course, those who know how the Guinness record system works, which admits many milestones, the value of these awards can vary a lot. But that does not mean that Hideo Kojima is the most followed and media creative of video games. A work that in the world of videogames has been neglected and the names of the creators are forgotten with very rare exceptions.
