Jon Edwards, head of Playstation in the United Kingdom, has assured that the protagonist of Sony's new game, Horizon Zero Dawn will be an icon comparable to the character of Naughty Dog, Nathan Drake.

Over the years, the PlayStation brand has transcended the boundaries of video games, transforming some of its protagonists into true icons among its users. Adventurer Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series, young Ellie from The Last of Us, and many more have been the face of the Japanese company in recent years. With the upcoming release of Horizon: Zero Dawn , protagonist Aloy aims to solidify her place as a memorable character for players.

However, one of Sony's upcoming releases, Horizon: Zero Dawn, could introduce a new icon to gamers. According to Jon Edwards, producer manager for PlayStation UK, the protagonist of the title developed by Guerrilla Games , the intrepid hunter Aloy, will become one of those characters who truly resonate with players. Jon Edwards made these comments in a British interview called MCV :

»Guerrilla Games has talked about this in the past, highlighting that they wanted to create a character that fits into the new world of the game. Aloy is an adventurer and has determination. In just a few weeks she could become »a Playstation icon. We believe that players will have fun playing with her and discovering this post-apocalyptic world inhabited by machines.»

Horizon Zero Dawn will arrive on March 1st, exclusively for the PlayStation 4. This open-world adventure game, packed with action, will feature hostile and dangerous technological creatures. Playing as Aloy, a skilled hunter, players will have to uncover secrets of the past and survive in a world teeming with robotic wildlife.

Aloy's voice will be provided by Spanish actress Michelle Jenner, who previously voiced Lauren Winter (Heavy Rain) in the Quantic Dream title from a few years ago.
