Intel Cryo Cooling for CPUs will no longer be supported
Intel has just announced the end of Sub-Ambient Cooling Technology, with the 13th generation Intel Core Raptor Lake processors being the last compatible chips. Thus, CPUs have just lost one of the few available sub-ambient cooling options , although in practice not many people use this feature. This cooling technology reduced the CPU temperature to 0 degrees Celsius to increase overall performance.
Originally introduced in 10th-generation Intel Core Comet Lake processors, Cryo Cooling remained a feature for approximately five generations, during which it barely made an impact and saw little use from consumers. According to leaker momomo_us, Intel discontinued Cryo Cooling technology on July 1st. Functional, security, and other updates will continue to be distributed until December 31, 2023.

Cryo Cooling will disappear from Intel support
Cryo Cooling wasn't just about hardware; Intel had envisioned it as a small ecosystem comprised of software, firmware, and hardware working together. However, not many manufacturers had implemented Cryo Cooling. Cooler Master released its MasterLiquid ML360 Sub-Zero, and EKWB launched the EK-QuantumX Delta TEC and the subsequent QuantumX Delta TEC EVO E2 water blocks, and few other products had been released with this technology.
Intel Cryo Cooling only works with Intel processors, but thanks to the Der8auer overclocker it could be used with AMD processors. This opened the door to speculation that it could work with various other brand CPUs if someone modifies Intel's software to work well with AMD processors.
After several years of little development with this technology, Cryo Cooling will be discontinued after the following year . Intel barely acknowledged it or gave it any importance when announcing drivers, and the largest manufacturers didn't pay much attention to it in their hardware either.
