Intel launches the Intel Graphics Driver for Windows 15.60 WHQL drivers, which offer support for HDR technology on Netflix and YouTube under Windows 10 and improve graphics performance in Destiny 2 and PES 2018, among others.
Not only AMD and NVIDIA must update their drivers for graphics cards, Intel is also working on improvements through drivers for their integrated graphics, which although they are very discreet, for simple multimedia tasks, may be more than enough (playing with them is not viable ). Intel has released the Intel Graphics Driver for Windows 15.60 WHQL drivers (yes, the name is short), which are compatible with the sixth generation Skylake processors, the seventh generation Kaby Lake and the eighth generation Coffee Lake.
These drivers, basically, what they do is offer support for HDR technology in Netflix and YouTube, yes, only under Windows 10. Among other things, these new drivers offer support for monitors or televisions that are capable of playing up to 1.070 million colors through an HDMI output and hardware acceleration and decoding has also been implemented in a wide variety of solutions introduced after the implementation of DirectX 12.
Logically, no one in their right mind would use IRIS Graphics for gaming, but graphical improvements have been implemented in the IRIS Pro iGPU, providing support and enhanced graphics for Shadows of War, Call of Duty: WWII, Destiny 2, PES 2018, and Divinity: Original Sins 2. The graphics in these games are important, not just the story, and we can't imagine anyone playing with low graphics settings, or at best, a barely acceptable 1080p resolution. Frankly, any entry-level graphics card is better than an IRIS Pro; in fact, the worst thing about Intel processors is their integrated graphics, which have always been terrible.
