Enhanced Intel i7-7700K and i5-7600K, Ultra, Pro and Advanced, for sale by a German overclocker

During the last years we have seen how Intel has dominated the CPU market in almost all the spectra of the market with a competition from AMD that was conspicuous by its absence. And this has not been good news for ordinary shoppers, since this has allowed them to relax and lower the quality of their products without fear of losing market (luckily with the arrival of Ryzen they have finally started to wake up, even so they have a lot to do).

In this case, we have been able to see how the quality of the thermal pastes they use has deteriorated over the years until it is almost at the level of toothpaste. During the last days for this same reason, owners of I7-7700K models have been advised not to overclock their processors, which have registered problematic temperature spikes. And it was here that a German overclocker saw his opportunity and decided to modify the I7-7700K and i5-7600K to create the Ultra, Pro and Advanced models with better temperatures compared to the normal model.

This individual's name is " der8aue r," and his upgrade and modification work was quite simple: he merely opened the processors (with the inherent risks and expertise) and cleaned off the terrible thermal paste located under the casing. As a replacement, he added Thermal Grizzly thermal compound, a product made with liquid metal that achieves temperatures between 10° and 20° lower.

If we try to get a 0,7 GHz OC to the I7-7700K with a fairly solvent cooling like the Corsair H110i we will easily reach the dangerous figure of 96º. However with these models according to the German vendor (depending on which one we choose we can do OC without any fear of the indicated frequencies) With the Core i5-7600K Ultra it claims to reach 5.20 GHz, the Pro 5.20 GHz and the Advanced 4.90 GHz (vs 4.20 GHz) reference. The same thing happens with the Core i7-7700K: Ultra (5.10 GHz), Pro (4.90 GHz) and Advanced (4.80 GHz) vs the 4.50 GHz of the reference model.

All these processors come with a 2-year warranty and a few games such as Halo Wars 2, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and Dreadnought. Lastly, it is worth seeing the prices (below are the ones with their respective links), they are quite disproportionate for what they offer but hey, nobody forces you to buy them and if the standard models continue to cost the same, there is no reason to complain about new alternatives ( even so, I do not consider it feasible to buy one of these models by far).
