Intel Introduces Three New Intel Core i3 Processors to the Entry Family

Intel will shortly launch four new processors from the Intel Core i3 family of the Kaby Lake generation, specifically the i3 7340, the i3 7320T, the i3 7120 and the i3 7120T, for entry-level gaming.

Intel's intention is to stop producing the Pentium G4560 processors, which are eclipsing the Core i3 due to their good performance. The interest in stopping producing these processors is due to the fact that Intel is working on finalizing the launch of four new processors of the Kaby Lake family, but of the Core i3 series. We must bear in mind that the Pentium G4560 offer excellent performance for the price they have, since it has two cores and four processing threads, working at 3.5GHz and without Boost mode.

This strategy of ceasing to produce the Pentium G4560, means that this processor is no longer in stock and that its price is significantly increased. Specifically, the i3 7340 and i3 7120 processors will be added, which will have a low-power version, which are called i3 7320T and i3 7120T, which will have in common, that they have two cores and four processing threads, with a frequency stable base and no boost mode. We leave you the complete specifications below.

  • Intel Core i3 7340: Dual-core with four threads clocked at 4.2 GHz with 4MB L3 cache, GPU @ 1150 MHz and 51W TDP.
  • Intel Core i3 7320T: 3.6 GHz quad-core dual-core with 4MB L3 cache, GPU @ 1100 MHz and 35W TDP.
  • Intel Core i3 7120: Dual-core with four threads clocked at 4.0 GHz with 3MB L3 cache, GPU @ 1100 MHz and 51W TDP.
  • Intel Core i3 7120T: 3.5 GHz quad-core dual-core with 3MB L3 cache, GPU @ 1100 MHz and 35W TDP.

Intel offers Core i3 processors, starting with the i3 7100T, with two cores and four threads, running at 3.9GHz, which is priced at € 109. The Core i3 family features the interesting i3 7350K processor, which is priced at € 195, which is the first processor to have overclocking capability for the entry-level range. We don't know when these four Core i3 models will hit the market, but they can be an interesting solution for entry-level gaming systems.

  1. What about both i3, if now that the Pentium also have HT they are a bit in the background. Excellent price performance the Pentium Kaby Lake.

  2. Why launch more i3 processors if they are dead ... I say better launch a review of the pentium g and ready to sell miles
