Intel responds to the leaks of AMD Ryzen, with the supposed leak of an Intel Kaby Lake i5 and i7, which would slightly improve the frequencies than their respective ones in the market and little else.

New information has been leaked that talks about a new processor, about which, so far, we know very little. This new processor would be an Intel Kaby Lake, specifically the i7 7700K processor, it will receive a slight improvement and would be baptized as i7 7740K. The purpose of this processor would be to compete directly with the top AMD Ryzen processors. This new processor would have a frequency of 4300MHz, 100MHz higher than the i7 7700K, which has a TDP of 91W, which would also increase to 100W of TDP in this new processor.

Not only would we see the new i7 7740K (realistically, it's a rehash of a rehash), we would also see the Intel i5 7640K processors, an upgrade from the i5 7600K. The improvement over the 'original' Kaby Lake processor would be 200MHz, with the frequency of the new i5 7640K being 4GHz as the base. The information also indicates that the i5 7640K would also have HyperThreading, something that does not happen in the current version and in most i5 K Series processors. All this, logically, is unconfirmed information.

AMD, for its part, has the Ryzen processors, of which we already know practically everything. Supposedly the two most powerful processors from AMD, the SR7 1800X and the SR 1700X, are the ones that Intel would respond to with this slight improvement. It surprises us, of course, because supposedly AMD will be very powerful processors and 100-200MHz, they do not suppose a real relevant improvement, with which, it leads us to think that AMD Ryzen is not all that is expected of them.

We can guarantee that this year will be a battle of AMD with Intel and also with NVIDIA and depending on how AMD's products are, the competition will have to lower prices to compete or if they do not meet expectations, AMD would have a problem and would stay in a position Very committed, so much so, that they could be relegated to 'cheap' equipment and very basic gaming solutions.
