Intel delays Cannon Lake, the company's first 10nm processors

The arrival of the 10nm Intel Cannon Lake processors is delayed, for no apparent reason, but it would have a lot to do with the difficulties of manufacturing 10nm transistors.

The development of the 10nm Tri-Gate has been choking, from the beginning to Intel, who has had enough technical problems for the development of this architecture of transistors. Intel has taken a long time to develop and a new lithography technique had to be developed for these 10nm. This has caused the delay and dilation of the market arrival of processors under these conditions and it seems that it will be delayed again, in this case by the end of 2018, for unknown reasons.

Intel is forced to delay the Cannon Lake to the last quarter of 2018, which had to reach the market in the first half of the year. This causes Coffee Lake processors to be launched in 14nm but in this case it would reach the eight cores. The reason for this change of plans is not clear, but it does not have much logic at the moment and what matters most to us, will we have to change the motherboard again?

The brands that manufacture portable equipment, in addition, would have lost interest in the Cannon Lake and would be considering, some, not to use these processors and directly jump to the Ice Lake, which would arrive in 2019, which are a review of the Cannon Lake, which will surely be more efficient and powerful. It seems that we are facing the same situation as the Broadwells, which passed a bit without pain or glory, since the Skylake were the ones that captured the interest of consumers and manufacturers.

It should be noted that the technical difficulties of lowering the size of the transistors begin to be a serious problem and the calendars will begin to not be fulfilled very frequently and in many cases, if they are fulfilled, it will be by making a set of trileros, measuring only a part of the transistor, not the whole of it. In addition, we must emphasize that fried foods are very bad for cholesterol and in this case, for the pocketbook and that they contribute little or nothing.
