Amazon investigates its employees for possible leak of confidential information

An investigation by Amazon is launched to detect which workers have leaked confidential information.

Multinational companies usually have quite strict clauses to preserve the confidentiality of their facilities or the way they work, and leaks are quite a significant problem. In most cases, the leaks are of products that are close to reaching the market and thus the impact of the surprise announcement is lost. Amazon has been in the case of leaking confidential information that could seriously affect the company.

A major investigation has been initiated by the company to scrutinize each of the employees. The reasons would be based on the fact that some of the company's workers had leaked some confidential data in exchange for a large sum of money. Amazon believes these workers with sensitive information would have profitably offered it to independent sellers. This advantage would be based on the product sample system.

It appears that some of the company's employees offered independent retailers the ability to suppress a number of negative reviews by getting the products they sold to appear on the results list. Additionally, some of the sellers would have been promised a list of key terms that are among the most sought after on the platform in their segment, made by users who want to purchase a very specific product.

These actions go completely against the rules and policies of the company and for this reason an important and exhaustive investigation has been initiated to find out who the merchants involved and also the workers have been, which could lead to significant lawsuits, financial penalties and possibly jail sentance.
