China blocks Twitch for unknown reasons

China's new attack on internet freedom, in this case blocking the streaming platform Twitch, which is owned by Amazon.

If we talk about censorship, we are talking about China, one of the countries in the world that most controls internet access and also the games that can be played within the country. Recently, quite restrictive measures have been imposed in China that limit the number of hours that minors can enjoy video games, at the same time that a rather controversial search engine developed by Google has been introduced. Now Twitch has been blocked in China.

China is now charging against Twitch and blocking the world's most popular game streaming service.

Amazon has taken an important stick for blocking the platform, since China has imposed a total restriction of Twitch in the country, liquidating the official application of the platform in the Apple App Store. Many users thought at first that it was a specific problem, but it was the beginning of the total blockade in the Asian giant.

The Twitch platform has confirmed this information through an official statement where no further information has been given about the platform and what is the reason that has led China to block this platform, but we can get a little idea of what it could be the reason for the cessation of activity of the platform.

It is quite strange that the closure of Twitch occurs just a few days after becoming one of the most important streaming platforms in China, where games of video games are broadcast, mainly. The Chinese government has given no explanations as to why the platform has been blocked and it is very possible that we will never get to know the reason for the blockade of the platform in the Asian giant.
