A possible hack has been detected in the internal network of the Spanish Ministry of Defense, of which its scope and magnitude are being investigated.

Computer security in government institutions is very high, due to the handling of confidential information. Despite this security, it is quite normal to find malicious attacks that have managed to sneak in. It has been announced that the Ministry of Defense of Spain has been attacked. This attack is still ironic, but far from this irony, it poses a very significant risk to the security of the country. The hack has not been confirmed, but there is suspicion and it has already been transferred to the Prosecutor's Office. Apparently there are indications of an intrusion into the internal network of the defense ministry.

Possible hack to the Ministry of Defense of Spain

Currently this hack is under joint investigation by the Cyber Defense Command and CESTIC. It is noted that in the next few hours the internal network of the Ministry of Defense could return to normal. It is possible that everything is a scare, but if there was a raid, the magnitude of it would have to be calibrated.

Pedro Sanchez, the already ex-President of the Government of Spain, created a specialized body in computer security. It was intended through this body to improve surveillance against possible computer attacks of all kinds. An organization that responds to the name of the Cybersecurity Operations Center. Detecting computer threats to the main information and communication systems of the General State Administration, action and response in relevant cases are some of the functions of this group.

Nothing else is known about this alleged hack into the internal network of the Ministry of Defense. It should be noted that this network can only be accessed with explicit authorization. It is estimated that some 50.000 people have access to this network. Among the data obtained would be sensitive emails, information on telecommunications networks and databases with names, telephone numbers and other data.
