Reportedly, platform user ID numbers have been leaked. With these identification numbers the phone numbers, their names and surnames have been filtered. A terrible data exposure that shows the null security that Mark Zuckerberg offers to users.
The person who discovered this major security breach was Bob Diachenko, a cybersecurity researcher. He would have been the one who would have found the database on the completely unprotected network.
Some believe that this data breach would have to do with an illegal data collection operation or an abuse of the Facebook API. Diachenko has said that he promptly advised the company and the service provider that controls the IP of the server where the data was hosted. A database exposed for two weeks, enough time for the data to be published in a cybercrime forum.
