Google unifies the Jamboard design with Material Design to make it similar to the rest of the applications. Add the ability to share links to G Suite products and remove NFC support for such actions.
While most people only know Jamboard as a 55-inch 4K touchscreen for businesses , there are also apps for Android, iOS, and the web. Those using the mobile apps will start to see a redesign that brings Jamboard closer to other Google apps with Material Design.
The focus of Jamboard's current redesign is on usability, performance, and stability. It coincides with a similar web update to boost collaboration among Jam users.

For starters, Google is adding the standard G Suite link sharing capabilities found in Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc. Jam files can be opened or joined using Bluetooth or Jamboard codes. However, Google has removed the ability to use NFC to perform any of those actions. You still have NFC for other issues, but here they remove this possibility
A home screen with grid and list views allows us to see recent, shared, highlighted and trash jams. Other standard features included include highlighting, duplicating, and copying a link to Jams.
The interface for content editing adds full support for portraits and landscapes. Borrowing from the Jamboard hardware, there's a redesigned toolbar and frame bar for a more consistent experience. The selection tool is now available on mobile devices when inserting images and Drive files should be less hassle when integrating.
At the moment, the ability to create a new Jam when offline has been temporarily removed, as Google works to achieve feature parity with other G Suite clients. They are some additions that allow Jamboard to be understood as a professional experience for users of paid versions of Google services.
