Kolink K6T, a tower that tries to be very futuristic, but falls by the wayside with a rather ugly design and a rather wasted internal capacity.
The tower is a very important element in our configuration and we must always look for a tower or chassis that meets two requirements, that allows a good hardware installation and that has good cooling and, if possible, that is aesthetically interesting. Kolink, a Taiwanese company that has interesting products this time has surprised us with a rather ugly micro-ATX chassis that seems to have quite poor cooling, as is the case with this strange Kolink K6T.
This six-sided tower with a pretty bizarre methacrylate panel and has RGB led strips on the front, to make a pretty ugly futuristic simulation. This tower measures 493x190x400mm and as we have said it is designed for a micro-ATX motherboard. We can install in this tower a heatsink with a maximum height of 155mm and graphic cards with a maximum length of 240mm. It supports an SSD and a 3.5 ”HDD, really very little space for hard drives, really.
Regarding cooling, this tower supports a 120mm fan in the front area or a liquid cooling radiator of the same dimensions and in the back it has an 80mm fan installed. This tower has a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port, in addition to the audio connectors for microphone input and audio output. The tower weighs around five kilos and has an absurd price of € 61 in Spain.
We must say that the tower in addition to being ugly, is absurdly large and there is a lot of wasted space. It has very few points to install fans and with a USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0 port on the front, today we are not going anywhere, less than two USB 2.0 ports on the front next to the USB 3.0 port. There are better solutions for that price or less, that are not so 'abstract'.
