Konami renews the PES saga that will arrive with the name eFootball PES 2020
The Pro Evolution Soccer saga has been renewed by Konami, something that will be reflected in the new eFootball PES 2020 installment.
Innovating in a sports simulator is usually quite complicated, since it must be quite faithful to reality. Above all, it is difficult to innovate in games that simulate soccer. The great historical competition between EA and Konami is very big and both companies try to innovate. Pro Evolution Soccer, in recent years, has managed to rediscover what made it lead in this segment. Looks like I could go one step further with the new eFootball PES 2020.
FIFA has managed to get ahead of PES thanks to significant innovations in terms of graphics and player movements. A name change that abbreviates the original name and the association, on the other hand, with the league of eSports clubs organized by Piqué and his Japanese partners.
eFootball PES 2020, a change in the football simulator
Lennart Bobzien, head of the franchise has spoken about the game: "we want to see how our fans and our users receive this repositioning." In addition, regarding the name change, he highlights that: "we want to grow and we also want to build eFootball in terms, it is about eSports and the only thing I can say is that it will be very, very interesting."
This game has as its protagonist Futbol Club Barcelona and takes Andrés Iniesta, Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho as emblems. Specifically Iniesta, is an ambassador and consultant, even appearing in the presentation video showing a new quite subtle dribble that he has also baptized.
Bobzien comments: "He was very happy, very open to joining the team and sharing his experience with our developers and ultimately moving our product forward"
It has also been highlighted by Bobzien that Messi will not be alone on the cover of the standard edition of PES 2020. He has not revealed who or who will accompany the Argentine star, although he points out that everything will be revealed in July. It will be specifically on July 10 when the cover is confirmed, the demo is published and the licenses are known.
Ronaldinho will be in the collector's edition, called 'Legend Edition'. The game will be released on September 10 and will arrive on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
