The water-cooled AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is priced at $ 1489

The price of the AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition with all-in-one liquid cooling is confirmed, which will be $ 1489 and will also have a TDP of 375W, more than the version of the Frontier Edition cooled by air.

The famous AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition graphics cards are on the market and are the only ones with the Vega GPU, until the AMD RX Vega finally arrives. These Frontier Editions had to go on the market in two versions, the first was air-cooled, while a second, more powerful edition, would carry an all-in-one liquid cooling kit. It was not known when it would hit the market, but the American SabrePC website is ahead of the official launch of this liquid-cooled graphics card and can be seen on its website for $ 1489.

This graphics card is, as we mentioned, the version with liquid cooling, which has been manufactured by Asetek and this is golden. It thus differs from the air version with the color, since the air version is blue. This graphics card has no less than 4096 Stream Processors and a total of 16GB HBM2 in the same HIS as the GPU. The only difference between both graphics cards is that this new graphics card has an RL AIO and a TDP of 375W, while the air-cooled one has a TDP of only 300W.

We must remember that these two graphics cards are not intended for gaming, even though they have a gaming mode. These graphics cards are designed for video game development and programming and have a gaming mode to find bugs and optimize resources. The Frontier Edition has a calculation power of 12,5TFLOPS, while in double precision calculations we are talking about 25TFLOPS. In addition, it has been developed for Deap Learning tasks, virtualization or the development of virtual reality games.

  1. Note that the GPU chip does not have IHS, that is a metal that covers the chip (s) to increase the area that the heatsink can contact. GPUs have the chip on the air.
