AMD could launch the latest model based on this first generation Vega GPU, the AMD RX Vega Nano, the graphics card that was presented at SIGGRAPH and about which nothing else has been known so far.
The presentation of the AMD RX Vega let us see the [amazon_textlink asin = 'B074SR3NBX' text = 'RX Vega 64 ′ template =' ProductLink 'store =' hardwa028-21 ′ marketplace = 'ES' link_id = '99b1ee95-8f06-11e7 -8482-3f6b0211f204 ′] and an RX Vega 56 was announced, too, but they also surprised us with the RX Vega Nano, a completely unknown graphics card of which nothing else has been known, so far. Apparently this AMD RX Vega Nano would be launched at the end of September and would be around $ 349 starting (this price does not indicate anything, because then they reach the market with a very different price). This would be the last graphics card to be released with this first phase of the Vega 10 architecture.
AMD has highlighted more than once that it delayed the launch of the RX Vega to have enough stock, but in the end things have gone quite bad, since they have not been able to have enough stock and the price has gotten out of hand, due to stock problems. The problem of stock and price seems to be in the HBM2, which have manufacturing problems and many of these memories have to be discarded. The price, the lack of stock, the performance and a very high consumption, has caused that these graphs are not attractive. AMD needs a new architecture, one that solves the problems of this poor architecture in performance and with constant consumption problems.
This RX Vega Nano is known to use the same GPU as the Vega 56, although it would be logical to operate at slightly lower frequencies. This chart has been developed with compact ITX equipment in mind. This graphic will have a 100mm diameter heatsink for efficient cooling and is powered by a single 8-pin PCIe connector, therefore the TDP would be less than 200W, which would force to cut the power of this graphic. We will see what this graph gives of itself when it hits the market.
do you know if they are going to release vega for a mid-range type replacement for the rx 580?
Forget about it, totally. The input and mid-range are supposed to be the RX 500 Series and the RX Vega are the high-end… or so AMD says.
Ah, is that since they no longer manufacture polaris or at least in the stores everything is always sold out, I thought that maybe they were going to renew that architecture and focus only on Vega ...
The problem is that they cannot leave the factory when they have already been bought by miners: v
