With the launch of Volta just around the corner, the new GeForce GT 1030 has been leaked by Nvidia

A matter of days ago Nvidia gave the informative bombshell that its new graphics card architecture, Volta, would be released during the third quarter of this year 2017, under the name of GTX 20. This move by the Californian company is a measure of precaution before the possibility that AMD launches Vega to the market in a short period of time and of surprise (although very unlikely, apparently recently). While we wait for the new generations of GPUs to arrive by both companies, today it has been confirmed that Nvidia will launch a GTX 1050 to stand up to the RX 550 by AMD.

The first thing that catches our attention about this graphic is its name, Geforce GT 1030, it is not a GTX as Nvidia has recently had us so used to, but it is a GeForce GT, designed for multimedia and office automation and not for gaming. If we go on to talk about the specifications of this new GPU, we find that it is built in a new GP108 silicon under the 14nm manufacturing process, Pascal, which in turn is composed of 512 CUDA Cores. It has 2GB of GDD5 VRAM memory attached to a 128-bit interface.

As for power, we find that the PCI Express port through which it is connected to the motherboard provides enough power so that it does not need an additional connection with the PSU. Going to the versions that for now we already know that they will be able to be purchased we have: the low profile model and the fanless model (without fan), this second one will be designed for multimedia equipment in which there is no additional heatsink. Finally, we have to talk about the video outputs that it will have and we have HDMI 2.0b and Display Port 1.4a, it is not known if 1 of each or more.

It is almost certain that its release date will take place next May of this same 2017, designed to face the future RX 550 from AMD. We do not have much information about the latter today, the only thing that has been said is that its power will be higher than that of the last RX 270 and that the integrated Intel graphics.
