The thing is, the TITAN V is based on the Volta architecture, which is supposed to be used in newer gaming graphics cards. Despite the very high price, benchmarks for this graphics card continue to appear in the field of video games and especially in cryptocurrency mining. New mining power data has appeared under Ethereum.
The power of this graphics card is 69MH / z, with the factory frequency, while with overclocking this graphics card is capable of reaching 82MH / s. Increasing overclocking means increasing frequencies and logically increasing consumption. Under the Claymore Miner 10.2 software, the TITAN V's overclocked HashRate is double the mining power offered by the RX Vega 64. Logically, due to consumption and price, this graphics card is not recommended at all, since it would take a long time in recovering the investment and we reiterate that it is developed for AI, so the obsession to present benchmarks is not understood.
The RX Vega 64 according to HotHardware gives 37.7MH / s, although at no time have we seen any capture that of this power, at most we have seen it up to 32MH / s. While the Titan Xp, another graphics card that is also not recommended for mining cryptocurrencies, gives 37MH / s. For € 3.100 that this graphics card is worth, we can mount a GTX 1080 or GTX 1060 miner, which gives us more power and performance, with less consumption. What we are seeing with the new graphics based on the Volta architecture is absurd.
