AMD will launch the RX 500 Series, the rehash of the current RX 400 Series without relevant improvements, which will hit the market on April 18, just the day after the AMD Ryzen 5.
It seems that the problems derived from the premature departure of the AMD Ryzen processors have made AMD reconsider, which would have planned to delay the arrival of the Radeon RX 500 by two weeks. These graphics cards, in theory, should hit the market on April 4, where AMD would launch the RX 580 and RX 570, while on April 11 the RX 560 and RX 550 would arrive, but in the end these graphics cards would arrive on April 18, a day after the theoretical arrival of the AMD Ryzen 5.
The stock problems of AMD Ryzen 7 processors and motherboards have not diminished, it is still quite difficult to find motherboard, especially. The difficulties do not end at this point, since the AMD Ryzen do not finish working well in Windows 10, the BIOS is a bit green and the temperature, as it has been known, the AMD Ryzen 7 processors do not show it correct. Even with all this, on April 17 the Ryzen 5 will be launched on the market.
Leaving aside the free stick to AMD (which surely some reader will take advantage of to sharpen it), we return to graphics cards. These new Radeon RX 500 Series are nothing more than a rehash of the RX 400 Series, which do not make much sense, since the difference is quite insignificant. The RX 580 will have a base frequency of 1340MHz, which is 74MHz higher than the RX 480 and the RX 570 will have a frequency of 1244MHz, which is 38MHz faster than the RX 470 and both models will have two versions, one with 4GB GDDR5 and another with 8GB GDDR5. Finally the RX 560 will have a frequency of 1287MHz and 97MHz more than the RX 460.
This move from AMD makes no sense, since the performance improvement will be a maximum of 5% and that does not give to reach the NVIDIA graphics cards that are on the market and let's not talk about the GTX 1080Ti or the future Volta. AMD will launch cheap graphics, with a practically zero performance improvement and what about those who recently bought a RX 400 Series?
